FYI, it appears that the Judicial Committee of the House of Lords now has its first woman justice in Baroness Hale of Richmond (see http://www.politicallinks.co.uk/ POLITICS2/BIOG/ld_BIOGS/bio.asp?id=2560 http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/low/uk_news/politics/3388575.stm) and several other new members (Lord Carswell; Lord Brown of Eaton-under-Heywood).

As a point of information, are any of the new justices known for their private law acumen?
