Wages for Employees
I
have been thinking about Ministry
of Sound v World Online which Andrew Tettenborn mentioned on
this list a few weeks ago. One of the points relied upon in that
case is that an employee's right to wages is dependent upon his
continuing status as an employee (and also presumably his being
ready and willing to work).
Does
anyone know of a case concerning an employer who locks out his employees
(ie prevents them from working) but does not dismiss them? Is the
employee entitled to wages or just damages?
Offlist
is fine if you prefer.
