Attribution of Acts
Does
anyone know of any cases concerning the attribution of one person's
(physical) actions to another person outside of vicarious liability?
One example is contributory negligence. The careless actions of
an employee of a claimant company may be attributed to the claimant
for the purpose of contributory negligence. Are there any other
examples? A contract example might be if A Ltd promises B not to
do X and one of A Ltd's employees does X.
Offlist
if preferred. (Cases concerning the attribution of words spoken
by one person to another are much easier to identify.)
