More suggestive case names
Dear
Colleagues;
Final
ones for the year:
-
an obvious one which I forgot last time: Bird
v Holbrook (1828) 130 ER 911, where the plaintiff Bird was
injured by the defendant's spring-loaded shotgun when he entered
the garden in pursuit of a pea-hen;
-
and while not a tort case, inspired by the avian reference, I can't
help mentioning Faccenda Chicken Ltd v Fowler
[1986] 1 All ER 617 where an injunction to restrain breach of confidence
was sought against Mr Fowler who was (you've guessed it) a manager
of the business which sold fresh chickens!
Merry
Christmas to all.
Regards
Neil Foster
