For off the list - the Salmond family, who ought to know- are pessimistic about there ever being another edition. It is a bit of a complicated story. It comes down I think to Sweets (?) not thinking it worthwhile to have to keep on paying the Salmon or Heuston families. This is a bit of a shame. I have been half thinking the book ought to be resuscitated - but is it greatly missed?

I think you mean 1996. I don't know of a new edition in the pipeline, though Richard Buckley (the surviving editor) is still in post at the University of Reading.
