Members of the ODG will be pleased to know that our colleague, Lewis Klar, is being honoured tomorrow by the University of Alberta with the awarding of the J. Gordin Kaplin Award for Excellence in Research. It is the University's most prestigious research award.

The citation reads:

"Professor Klar epitomizes the qualities and credentials that the award represents. His work has established a new standard, both nationally and internationally, for combining conceptual insight and practical application. Professor Klar has had a profound impact on everyone touched by tort law: judges, lawyers, academics, colleagues, and students."
