Ahh ... but think of the word play. Would the act of committing a novel tort amount to x-torting? And if the act once was, but was no longer, wrongful, would that amount to extortion?

Please, no more of "torted"; it's a truly horrible neologism and suggests a legal conclusion based only on the occurrence of an event.
