Subject: Lumley v Gye and greater damages
Has anyone ever come across a Commonwealth case where a defendant who has procured a breach of contract has paid damages greater than those that would be payable by the contract breaker? I know that some of the judgments in Lumley raise this as a possibility but I wonder if it has ever eventuated.
Sincerely,
