Summers on Mitigation in the Law of Damages
Dear Colleagues:
Congratulations go out to ODGer Andrew Summers on the publication of his
new book, Mitigation in the Law of Damages, with OUP.
From the description:
I have been told that in addition to a doctrinal analysis of the law of
mitigation, the book also includes an extensive discussion of private law
methodology (Introduction and Ch4) and implications for the concepts of loss
and causation, and rights-based theories of damages (Conclusion) which may be
of interest to private law theorists.
For those with a subscription to Oxford Scholarship Online, the book is
available here.
The print version can be purchased with a 30% discount from OUP here
(using discount code ALAUTHC4).
There will be a book launch at LSE on Weds 29th January 2025
(6-7pm UK time), chaired by Lord Leggatt. Further details will be circulated
nearer the time (including hopefully details about remote attendance).
Happy Reading,
Jason Neyers
