From: Harold Luntz

Subject: TLJ

Having been away from home for several weeks, I have not been in a position to participate in the interesting debates on contribution, vicarious liability, etc. Nor was I able to respond before now to David Cheifetz's question whether anyone had written on Reeves v Commissioner of Police. Tony Honore did a case note for the TLJ, 'Suicide in Police Custody: Reeves v Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis' (2000) 8 TLJ 1. I'll send a pdf copy to David and to any other colleague who wants one.

The latest issue of the Journal is now out. Members of the list will note that Jason Neyers is one of the contributors. The contents are as follows:

Comment
Glasbeek: The legal pulverisation of social issues: Andar Transport Pty Ltd v Brambles Ltd

Articles
Stauch: Approaches to Fault in German Tort Law

Cheer: Myths and realities about the chilling effect: The New Zealand media’s experience of defamation law

Neyers and Gabie: Canadian Tort Law since Cooper v Hobart: Part 1

Book review
Vines: Weinrib (ed), Tort Law

Regards,
Harold.
