Subject: Postal Acceptance Rule

Colleagues:

I apologize for a stupid question but here it goes: Does the postal acceptance rule apply to rejections? Is an offer considered rejected as soon as I put the rejection in the mail or only on receipt? Is there a case where this dealt with?

I have poked around several of the texts that I have at home to no avail.
