Missing Messages
Dear
Colleagues:
Steve
Hedley, who archives the ODG, tells me that a careful reading of
the archive shows that it is evident that many messages which the
sender means to be for the list are not reaching it. This is unfortunate
because it threatens to turn the list into a series of loosely-connected
assertions, rather than a conversation.
There
could be a number of explanations for this (technical problems,
off-list) but the most likely explanation is that people are not
watching their "To:" boxes closely enough.
As
a reminder, the only way to send a message to the list is to include
obligations@uwo.ca in the list of the addressees of the message.
Also remember, that the default for most mail programs is to send
to the original sender, not the ODG.
Happy
ODGing!
